I.B.M. Ring 216 meets on the second Wednesday of
every month at the Yu-Ai Kai Center, 588
N. Fourth Street, San Jose, CA. This
month's meeting will be held on
Wednesday, April 12, 2006. There will be
two Early Bird Workshops, one on Ring
and Rope magic, and one a continuation
of the "Stars of Magic" series started
last month. EBW's start at 6:30 PM and
the meeting will begin at 7:30. At this
meeting, we will take last year's
popular "Magi to Magi" evening and kick
it up a notch (to quote that food guy).
Members and guests will be divided into
small teams and each person will have
the opportunity to perform an effect for
the others in the team, and receive
feedback and advice. Then each team will
put together a small show featuring some
or all of the effects just worked on. As
many of the teams as there is time for
will perform for the whole group. This
is a great opportunity to work on a new
or special effect in a small group
setting, get responses and advice from
others, and work with others to routine
a few effects into an act or show.
Upcoming Magic Dinner Shows
Daryl will be headlining the Second
Anniversary Celebration dinner show
at California Magic on March 31 and
April 1. Also appearing will be
Gerry Griffin. The fun starts at
7:30 PM.
The following weekend will feature
international award-winning
magician, Eric Buss.
